The University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the LaVerne Ragster Administration and Conference Center Building First-Floor Conference Room on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas.
The meeting will begin with regular session agenda items. UVI President Dr. Safiya George will present the President’s Report, highlighting the University’s strategic, academic, financial and operational accomplishments during the March–June 2026 reporting period, including progress toward the goals of the G.R.A.N.D. Momentum Strategic Plan and other key institutional priorities. Board Chairman Henry Smock will then deliver the Chairman’s Comments before the Board considers additional agenda items.
The Academic, Research and Student Affairs Committee will present a proposed revision to the General Health Requirements and Operations of the Health Services Center Policy for Board consideration and approval.
The Board will receive a financial update from the Finance and Budget Committee on the University's fiscal operations, budget performance, and ongoing financial management initiatives.
During the meeting, the Planning Committee will present institutional planning and performance updates, including enrollment trends and other strategic initiatives supporting the University’s long-term growth and effectiveness. The Committee will also provide updates on Key Performance Indicators and UVI Next.
The Board will convene in Executive Session and will report any actions taken before adjournment.
