Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph the University of the Virgin Islands New Student Convocation, to be held at the Albert A. Sheen Campus and the Orville E. Kean Campus on Aug. 12 and Aug.14, 2006, respectively.
The new Buccaneers will celebrate the beginning of their UVI journey as they receive their official medallions from UVI President Dr. Safiya George. Students will also have an opportunity to engage in conversation with President George, enjoy an ice cream social, and meet with deans from the University’s various academic departments. The formal ceremony serves as a special welcome for new students as they become part of the UVI community.
