The Office of Institutional Research is under the Information Services & Institutional Assessment component of the University of the Virgin Islands. We are an essential component of the University providing data internally in support of data-driven decision-making.

In addition, I.R. provides data externally by completing mandated federal and accrediting body reports and providing data for our stakeholders in standard and ad hoc reports. We report annually to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education; administer national surveys such as the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) - data collected from this survey is a critical activity for accreditation.
