Early Admissions and Dual Credit

 
Program Overview

The Early Admissions Program was established to encouraged academically advanced and mature high school students to attend the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) on a full-time basis upon completion of the 11th grade. Students who participate in this program get an early start on college and have the opportunity to earn college credit and receive academic scholarships (dependent on availability).

Eligibility
  • Successful completion of the 10th and 11th grades at a U.S. Virgin Islands high school.
  • Minimum cumulative academic average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, based on grades received in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade (first semester).
  • Minimum SAT score of 560 evidence based reading and writing, and 520 Mathematics.
  • Written nomination/recommendation by the high school principal and or counselor.
  • Participation in an interview with the Admissions Committee initial eligibility requirements are met.
