re than 200 agriculturists representing 22 countries will converge on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, from July 12–17, 2026, for the 58th Annual Caribbean Food Crops Society Conference at the University of the Virgin Islands Albert A. Sheen Campus.

The University of the Virgin Islands Medical Simulation Center (UVI MSC) has been officially added to the U.S. Virgin Islands Eligible Training Provider List , a designation administered by the Virgin Islands Workforce Development Board that expands access to federally supported workforce training opportunities for Virgin Islanders pursuing careers in emergency medical services.

The Virgin Islands Agriculture Business Center (VIABC) at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI), in partnership with the Research and Technology Park (RTPark) Community Impact Fund, will host a free webinar on May 6, 2026, at 6 p.m. to introduce the new Farmers & Fishers Program and help participants better understand available financing opportunities for agriculture and fisheries businesses across the territory.
