University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) President, Dr. Safiya George, announced promotions within her cabinet recognizing the exemplary work of two accomplished leaders, Dr. Rick Nader and Una Dyer. Dr. Nader who has served as Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Studies at UVI for the past two years has been promoted to Vice President of Research and Economic Development. Dyer, who served as Director of Presidential Operations and Executive Director of the Foundation for the University of the Virgin Islands, has been with the University and in the Office of the President for 13 years, has been promoted to Vice President of Strategic Affairs.
UVI’s Eastern Caribbean Center to Complete VI Community Survey on St. Thomas & St. John

The University of the Virgin Islands’ (UVI) Eastern Caribbean Center (ECC) asks the community’s help to complete the Virgin Islands Community Survey (VICS) in the St. Thomas-St. John District before the Nov. 12, deadline. The survey has already been completed on St. Croix.

Members of the community are encouraged to attend one of three agile strategic planning sessions scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the LaVerne Ragster Administration and Conference Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas; Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the Great Hall on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix; and Thursday, Oct. 10 on St. John at a location to be announced shortly. All sessions begin at 6 p.m.
